Instructor:

Loraine's Photo and Bio

Loraine Ho, owner and piano instructor, born in Hong Kong provides an unique teaching experience. Loraine was trained to teach theory, fingering technique, ear training and sight reading. Loraine was tested through the Associate Board of the Royal School of Music in the UK.

She has been studying classical piano since the age of 6. Loraine is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education at University of New Mexico. Loraine received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Iowa State University.

Loraine taught in Iowa at West Music and Grand Music Studio . She just moved to Albuquerque in March 2012. At Silver Piano Studio, Loraine primarily works with beginner to early intermediate students and those focusing on classical music studies. Loraine has worked with students age from 4 to 40+ years old.

Studio Policy

Practicing/ Instrument: Beginning student should practice 10-15 minutes a day. Students must have regular access to a keyboard instrument, preferably within the student’s home.

Lesson books/Materials: Students may be required to purchase materials for lessons subject to the assigned instructor’s lesson plans. Lesson materials may include lesson book, theory book, performance book, technique book, song book, metronome, etc.

Payments: Tuition is due the first lesson of each month. Tuition is paid for on a monthly basis

Re-Schedule Lesson: 24 Hours or More Notice: If a student contacts the instructor at least 24 hours prior to the lesson, the student may request a make up lesson.

Make-Up Lesson:

To make up a lesson, students have the following options:

    1. Students can find another day and time for the make up lesson.
    2. If scheduling allows, they can request extended lesson for the following 2 or 3 regularly scheduled lesson.
    3. No Show: If a student does not show up for a lesson and fails to contact the instructor, the student forfeits that lesson.
    4. Discontinue Lesson: 2 week notice is appreciated.
